Smith & Nephew comment on Federal Court Of Australia decision

Melbourne, Australia –15 June 2009 – Smith & Nephew Inc.’s Advanced Wound Management division announced that the Federal Court of Australia ruled in favour of KCI Medical Australia’s (KCIMA) request for a interlocutory injunction to restrain Smith & Nephew from selling in Australia foam dressing kits for use in negative pressure wound therapy. Importantly, the terms of the injunction do allow Smith & Nephew to supply its foam dressing kits free of charge for evaluation by prospective purchasers, including as part of any tender processes.
