Method: In the treatment of 3 traumatic injuries, each requiring limb amputation, we describe the application of NPWT using the Chariker-Jeter system, which uses a single layer of saline-moistened antimicrobial gauze laid directly onto the wound bed. Smith & Nephew Inc’s Advanced Wound Management division has just announced the U.S. launch of its next Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) product, the new RENASYS◊ GO, meant to help clinicians address the needs of their “on the move” patients. This product rounds out the company’s wound care portfolio, which includes the recent release of the RENASYS◊ EZ, as well as the RENASYS◊-G and RENASYS◊-F dressing kits. Smith & Nephew’s Advanced Wound Management division announced the U.S. launch of its new RENASYS EZ Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) system. RENASYS EZ allows clinicians to use variable pressure control, enables clinicians to treat surgical, traumatic or chronic wounds according to the individual needs of the patient and the characteristics of the patient’s wound.
